Seqrite Centralized Security Management provides access to users, applications, and devices based on tags or keys that are predefined. These tags/keys are assigned to applications and assigned a value. If all the tag values ascribed to a user match with the tags defined for an application, then only the user is granted access to the application. A tag encompasses a key and a corresponding value for that key. Tag keys can have multiple values.
You can tag the following,
- Users
- Applications
- Devices
Tags are defined in the tags catalogue where you can edit and assign values to the tags. There are two types of tags, static and dynamic. You can view, edit, or delete a tag from the catalogue. Each tag is defined by,
- Tag Key
- Tag Value
- Tag Type
- Description
The following types of tags are available in Seqrite Centralized Security Management.
Tag type | Description |
---|---|
Static Tag | Static tags consist of a key and value pair. You can assign these to users and applications manually. |
Dynamic Tag | Dynamic tags can be created based on user attributes fetched from the organizational active directory. For applications, the variables / parameters used to create dynamic tags are pre-defined. These are applied automatically to both users, applications, and devices. |
Tags are useful for classification and identification of users in order to allow them application access. We can create several static and dynamic tags under Tags. These tags can be configured so as to allow or deny access to specific applications.
At the top of the page, widgets show the count of Total, Static and Dynamic User Tags, Dynamic Application Tags, and Dynamic Device Tags. Further, all the tags are listed and the following details are mentioned.
