Guide for Seqrite EPP Windows Client Agent to 10.13

Overview

This guide outlines the steps to upgrade the Seqrite Endpoint Protection (EPP) Windows Client Agent from version 10.9.x.0/10.11 to 10.13.0.0 using the Consent-Based Upgrade method via the Seqrite Cloud Console.

Prerequisites

Before initiating the upgrade, ensure the following conditions are met:
• Operating System: Windows (including Server OS)
• Client Agent Versions: 10.12.0.0 or 10.12.1.0
•Virus Database (VDB): Date must be latest
•Antivirus (AV) Status: Must be Success

Note: A system reboot will be required post-upgrade.

Upgrade Steps

Step 1: Access the Cloud Console
Log in to the Seqrite Endpoint Protection Cloud Console.
Step 2: Configure Upgrade Control Settings

  1. Navigate to Admin Settings.
  2. Click Upgrade Control >> Upgrade Control Settings.
  3. Set Max Number of Days to Reboot (Range: 0–7 days):
    • – 0 Days: No consent prompt shown. Upgrade follows legacy flow:
    • – Client Agent and AV are silently uninstalled.
    • – Reboot prompt shown.
    • – New AV installed after reboot.
    • – 1–7 Days: Consent prompt shown to users.
    • – Auto-upgrade deadline is calculated from the time the prompt is received.
    • – Example: If prompt received on 4th July 2025 at 10:00 AM and max time is 1 day, upgrade will auto-initiate by 5th July 2025 at 10:00 AM.
  4. Click Save to apply settings.
    Step 3: Initiate Upgrade
  5. Go to the Status Page.
    • 2. Select eligible clients:
    • – Windows Client version: 10.12.x.0
    • – AV Status: Success
    • – VDB Date: ≥ 30 July 2025 [00:00:00]
  6. Send the Upgrade Clients command.
  7. Send the Upgrade Notification.
    Client-Side Behavior
    Consent Prompt
    Once the notification is sent:
    • – A Consent Prompt appears on the client system.
    • – Console AV status changes to Upgrade in Progress.
    User Options
    Users can choose from the following:
    1. Upgrade and Restart Now
      • – Upgrade begins immediately.
      • – AV status changes to Reboot Required.
      • – After uninstalling v10.12 CA+AV, a message prompts the user to save work before reboot.
      • – New AV installs post-reboot.
    1. Snooze and Remind Me Later
      • – Prompt reappears after selected snooze duration.
      • – User can snooze until the Max Time is reached.
      • – Upgrade auto-initiates once Max Time is reached.
      Post-Upgrade Status
      After system reboot:
      • – AV Status: Success
      • – Client Agent Version: 10.13.0.0
      Additional Notes
      • – Server OS Clients: Reboot is mandatory.
      • – If Seqrite Universal Agent is installed:
      • – Post-upgrade, Client Agent v10.13 will be integrated into the Universal Agent.

The settings are applied to upgrade for versions 10.9.0.0 and 10.11.00
