Installing Seqrite Client on Mac

Follow these steps to install Seqrite Endpoint Protection on your Windows device:

  1. Download the .TAR file from the Seqrite console.
  2. Extract the tar file.
  3. Double-click the installer file (MCLAGNT.DMG). The Endpoint Protection icon is mounted on the desktop.
  4. Double click the Endpoint Protection icon. An installer window will appear.
  5. Double click the Seqrite Installer icon in the window. “Verifying Client Agent installer” message is displayed.
  6. After the verification is complete, a message appears, "Client Agent Installer” is an app downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you want to open it?”
  7. Click Open button.
  8. Provide username and password of the system when prompted by the installer.
  9. Click OK.

    Note
    If password-protected Client Installer is being executed, then it will ask for Client Installer password first and then it will ask for System password.

  10. The Client Agent will be installed. A message, “Endpoint Protection Client installed successfully” appears.
  11. Click OK.
    The AV will be automatically downloaded and installed in the background. After installation, AV will get activated and its status will be sent to the server.

The quick access options include the following:

Open Seqrite Endpoint Protection Launches Seqrite Endpoint Protection.
Enable / Disable Virus Protection Helps you turn on or turn off Virus Protection.
Update Now Helps you update Seqrite Endpoint Protection .
Scan My Mac Helps you scan your machine for viruses.
Sync Now Helps in synchronizing the endpoint with the applied policies.

If you opt to integrate Seqrite Endpoint Protection with Seqrite Universal Agent (SUA), the quick access options from the SUA include the following under EPP:

Options Description
Open Seqrite Endpoint Protection Launches Seqrite Endpoint Protection.
Update Signatures Helps you update Seqrite Endpoint Protection .
Request Temporary Device Access Helps you to avail Temporary Device Access.

Note that this option is visible only if Advance Device Control is enabled from policy

Synchronize Policies Helps in synchronizing the endpoint with the applied policies.
