This feature introduces a new client action to trigger a full system asset scan from the console. It is designed to be simple and requires no additional configuration.
- A new client action is now available on the console to initiate a full system asset scan.
- When the action is sent, an action log will be automatically created under Admin → Endpoint Action Log.
- The Full System Asset Scan does not require any configuration, just send the action to fetch full system details, including hardware and software details.
- Full System Asset Scan is supported for Windows, Linux and Mac clients.
- Full System Asset Scan updates the asset details under Status → Endpoint Status, it does not create or change the reports under Reports → Asset Management.
Use this client action to fetch the full system asset details without having to wait for the scheduled asset scan to run. Also, in rare case, when scheduled asset scan is having trouble fetching the latest details, you can use this client action.
Note:For the CA versions 10.13.0.0 and below, full system asset scan (client action) is not supported. You’ll need to upgrade the client to version 10.13.1.0.
