Downloading the Linux Client Package
To download the Endpoint Protection Linux client package, follow these steps:
- Log in to the Seqrite CSM Console.
- Navigate to Deployment.
- Download the Linux client package using either the Online Installer or Email Installer option.
Note: The downloaded package is available as SUAunix64.zip or SUAunix32.zip, depending on the target system architecture.
- Extract the downloaded package. The extracted folder contains the following files:
SUA_unix_amd64.shinstallaconfig.dat
Deploying the Linux Client Using ManageEngine
To deploy the Endpoint Protection Linux client using the Custom Script method in ManageEngine, follow these steps:
- Log in to the ManageEngine Endpoint Central Console.
- Navigate to Configuration > Linux.
- On the Add Configuration page, click Custom Script.
- Configure the custom script settings:
- Name: Specify a name for the configuration. For example, LinSUADeploy.
- Execute Script From/Run: Select Command Line.
- Command Line: Enter the following command:
./SUA_unix_amd64.sh -q - Dependency Files: Upload all files from the extracted Linux client package, including:
SUA_unix_amd64.shinstallaconfig.dat
- Frequency: Select Once.
- Enable Logging for Troubleshooting: Select this option if deployment logs are required for troubleshooting.
- Define the target endpoints:
- Remote Office/Domain: Select the appropriate remote office, domain, or workgroup.
- Filter Computer Based On: Select the target Linux endpoint host names.
- Click Deploy Immediately to start the deployment.
After the deployment is complete, verify that the Endpoint Protection client is successfully installed on the target Linux endpoints.
