The Active Directory tab allows you to download and install the Seqrite Active Directory Tool to synchronize groups with Active Directory organizational units (OUs), containers, or computers. After synchronization, Seqrite automatically installs the client on endpoints in the synchronized domain.
The tool periodically checks for new endpoints. When a new endpoint is added to the domain, the client is automatically installed on the endpoint.
You can also exclude specific endpoints from synchronization to prevent client installation on those endpoints.
Note:
- Active Directory deployment is supported only on Windows endpoints.
- Install the Active Directory Tool on a domain machine or a machine that is a member of the domain.
- The user performing the synchronization must have Domain Admin permissions.
- Active Directory synchronization is not supported for the Default group.
- Groups synchronized with Active Directory are marked with the AD tag on the Groups page.
Install the Active Directory Tool
- Go to Deployment > Active Directory.
- Click Active Directory Installer.
- Extract the downloaded ZIP file.
- Double-click adinst.msi.
- Follow the instructions in the installation wizard to install the Seqrite Active Directory Tool.
- Launch the Seqrite Active Directory Tool and follow the instructions provided in its help file.
Note: Keep the system hosting the Active Directory Tool powered on continuously. The tool must be available for periodic synchronization checks.
