EDR

Before proceeding with the EDR deployment steps, review the following information.

On Windows Server systems, EDR registration may fail when Windows Firewall is enabled. To ensure proper communication between EDR and EPP on Windows systems, complete the required configuration steps outlined below.

Configure Firewall Rules

  1. Open Windows + R. Type firewall.cpl and press Enter.
  2. Click Advance Settings. A new window opens.
  3. In the left pane, select Inbound rules > New Rule.
  4. In the New Inbound Rule Wizard, select Port, and click Next.
  5. Select TCP and specify the port 8080, then click Next.
  6. Select Allow the connection, and click Next.
  7. Apply the rule to all profiles, and click Next.
  8. Enter a name for the rule, and click Finish.

Repeat steps 4–9 to create another inbound rule for port 4222.

Once these rules are configured, retry the OPE registration.
