  1. Ensure that the product key is readily available and visit the following link: Seqrite Product Installer
  2. Enter the product key into the designated field and click Submit.
  3. Select the preferred option to download the installer based on your package specifications.

Download the following components from the shared links:

  1. Pre-requisites installer: SEQRITE_EPP_v8.6_Prerequisites_Installer_DEB.tar.gz

    2. Note: Run the apt-get update & apt –fix-broken install command, before running the Pre-requisites script

  2. Control Center installer: SEQRITE_EPP_8.6_Product_Installer_cc.tar.gz
  3. SSR installer: SEQRITE_EPP_8.6_Product_Installer.tar.gz

Copy the installers to the appropriate machines:

  1. Copy the pre-requisites installer to the Control Center machine and all SSR machines under /opt/
  2. Copy the Control Center installer to the Control Center machine under /opt/
  3. Copy the SSR installer to all SSR machines under /opt/

    4. Note: If you are installing server on an offline machine, it is recommended to use a Minimal machine with CLI only.

Steps to run the pre-requisites installer on the Control Center:

  1. Go to the /opt/ directory
  2. Extract the pre-requisites installer: tar -xzvf SEQRITE_EPP_v8.6_Prerequisites_Installer_DEB.tar.gz
  3. Run the installer: bash SEQRITE_EPP_v8.6_Prerequisites_Installer_DEB/setup.sh
  4. Select S for standalone setup
  5. Wait for the script to install all third-party components
  6. Once completed successfully, proceed with the Seqrite EPP 8.6 Control Center installation.

    7. Important: Note that it is mandatory to reboot the system after prerequisites setup.sh is executed.

Steps to run the pre-requisites installer on SSR:

    Note: Make sure that the Ubuntu version is 24.04.3 with signed Kernel version 6.14

  1. Go to the /opt/ directory
  2. Extract the pre-requisites installer: tar -xzvf SEQRITE_EPP_v8.6_Prerequisites_Installer_DEB.tar.gz
  3. Run the installer: bash SEQRITE_EPP_v8.6_Prerequisites_Installer_DEB/setup.sh
  4. Select S for standalone setup or D for distributed setup
  5. If distributed is selected, run the installer on both the primary and secondary servers and select 1 or 2 accordingly
  6. Wait for the script to install all third-party components
  7. Once completed successfully, proceed with the Seqrite EPP 8.6 SSR installation

    8. Note:To establish a remote desktop connection, ensure that port 3389 is used exclusively by the GNOME Desktop Service. If another process (for example, Xorg) is using this port, you may experience issues with the system UI. In such cases, terminate the process occupying port 3389 before proceeding.

Steps to install Seqrite EPP 8.6 Control Center:

    Note:
    Make sure that the Ubuntu version is 24.04.3 with signed Kernel version 6.14

  1. Go to the /opt/ directory.
  2. Extract the installer:

    tar -xzvf SEQRITE_EPP_8.6_Product_Installer_cc.tar.gz

  3. Execute the Installer by typing the following command:

    sh SEQRITE_EPP_v8.6_Product_Installer.sh

  4. The Installer Wizard screen appears. Click Start.
  5. Read the license agreement and click Yes, I Agree.
  6. On the Installation Folder screen, confirm the location and click Next.
  7. Select the IP address or domain name for the server.
  8. (Optional) Provide proxy server details for additional security.
  9. Review the Summary screen and optionally click Save Summary.
  10. The installation takes approximately 10–15 minutes.
  11. Once all components are installed, the completion screen appears. Click Finish.
  12. After installation, activate the EPP Central Console to manage and onboard endpoints.

Installing Seqrite EPP Site Server

To begin the installation of Seqrite EPP Site server, follow these steps:

  1. Open the terminal and log in as a root user.
  2. Extract the installer:

    tar -xzvf SEQRITE_EPP_8.6_Product_Installer.tar.gz

  3. Execute the Installer by typing the following command:

    sh SEQRITE_EPP_v8.6_Product_Installer.sh

    The Seqrite Endpoint Protection setup wizard starts.

  4. The list of actions appears. To continue, hit [Enter].
  5. The license agreement appears. Read the License Agreement carefully. Installation and usage of Seqrite Endpoint Protection is subject to your formal acceptance of the Seqrite Endpoint Protection end-user license terms and conditions.

  6. The Setup will install Seqrite Endpoint Protection in the default folder. The folder path appears. Available and required disk space is calculated automatically and the figures are displayed.

    To continue, hit [Enter]. Ensure that there is required space available on the disk.

  7. The Server Configuration screen appears.

    – Here for Private IP or Public or FQDN installation, select IP Address or Domain Name from the list. To continue, hit [Enter].

    Note: Client will communicate to the Server through IP/Host Name provided by you. Ensure that, the IP Address /Host Name is reachable. You can do that by adding IP Address – Domain name mapping in the hosts file. C:WindowsSystem32driversetchosts file for Windows and /etc/hosts for Linux clients and /private/etc/hosts for Mac clients.

    – Default values of HTTP Port and SSL Port appears. To continue with default values, hit [Enter]. Else type the port values and hit [Enter].The port connections are tested, and port numbers are validated.This port number serves as a listening port for the server. With Seqrite Endpoint Protection server address, you can launch the console.

  8. If you select, Distributed Installation , then only Distributed Server Configuration screen appears. Else, the Proxy Settings screen appears.

    • Type IP address or hostname of the Distributed Server and hit [Enter].
    • Type Username and hit [Enter].
    • Type Password and hit [Enter]. You cannot view the typed password.
  9. The Proxy Settings screen appears.If you are using a proxy server to connect to the Internet, type 1 and hit enter.
    If you want to continue without enabling Proxy Settings, type 2 and hit enter.The Proxy Setting information is used by Seqrite Endpoint Protection server for internet connectivity, activation and for downloading updates.To enable and configure proxy settings:

    • Type the IP address of the proxy server or domain name (For example, proxy.yourcompany.com) and hit [Enter].
    • Type the port number of the proxy server (For example: 80) and hit [Enter].
    • Type 1 to Authenticate to connect through Proxy server. Type 2 to continue without authentication.
    • Type User Name.
    • The success message appears if the connection to the proxy server is successful.
  10. The Installation Folder screen appears. Seqrite client is installed on the endpoint as per the path specified in this screen.
    Required disk space and available disk space is shown.
    To continue hit [Enter].

  11. The installation summary screen appears. Activation and Server Configuration data is displayed. Please note the Seqrite Endpoint Protection login URL.

    • Type 1 to save summary file at path/opt and hit [Enter].
    • Type 2 to continue without saving and hit [Enter].
  12. The installation process starts. Success screen appears.

Re-installation of Seqrite Endpoint Protection server

In Minimal/CLI Mode for UBUNTU 24.04 LTS after uninstalling Seqrite Endpoint Protection 8.5 (Windows), you cannot install Seqrite Endpoint Protection 8.6 (Ubuntu) server with the same product key.
