Operating System Compatibility for EPP Server Installations
Supported Platforms for Fresh Installations
Fresh installations of the EPP Server are supported only on Ubuntu 24.04.2 and above. Please ensure your system meets this requirement before initiating a new installation.
Support for Existing Installations
We will continue to support existing EPP Server deployments running on Ubuntu 22.04. No immediate upgrade is required for these systems.
Upgrade Guidance for Existing Customers
Customers currently using EPP Server versions 8.3 and 8.3.x may upgrade their operating system to Ubuntu 24.04.2, provided they follow the prerequisites outlined in our documentation.
⚠️ Important: The Ubuntu 24.04.2-compatible Linux client must be installed while the server is still running Ubuntu 22.04. This step is critical to ensure compatibility and a smooth transition.
Scope of Client Installation
This requirement applies only to the default Linux client installed on the server machine.
