Seqrite Endpoint Protection (EPP) supports a wide range of operating systems across Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms. To ensure smooth installation and optimal product performance, your system must meet the supported OS and hardware requirements listed here.

Important to Know

  • For installing the client on Windows Server OS, uninstall Windows Defender using the following link:
    Microsoft Docs – Install or Uninstall Windows Defender AV on Windows Server
  • From version 1.6 onwards, Seqrite Endpoint Protection Cloud uses only SHA‑2 certificates for code‑signing. More details:

  • Seqrite Endpoint Protection client cannot be installed on Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 unless the following updates are installed:

    • KB4474419
    • KB4490628

    Install them manually using the links, OR install Internet Explorer 11 to get them automatically.
    A system restart is required after installation.

  • For Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, and 2025, you must uninstall Windows Defender before installing the client.
    Restart the system after uninstallation.
