Upgrade Clients

To upgrade the clients, follow these steps:

  1. On the Status page, select the endpoints you want to upgrade the clients.
  2. The client action bar is enabled above the table. In the Client Actions list, select Upgrade Clients.
  3. Click Submit. The action will be initiated on the client as per the set polling interval.
    The client will be upgraded with the latest version.

Note: For Mac and Linux client, it is necessary to uninstall the existing client and perform a fresh installation using the latest packager.

Windows Upgrade (v10.9.0.0 or v10.12.0)

Upgrade flow depends on VDB date:

  • Before 29 Aug 2025 → Silent upgrade (no user prompt)
  • On/after 29 Aug 2025 → User gets a consent prompt
  • Admin sets reboot deadline (0–7 days):

  • 0 days → Immediate upgrade
  • 1–7 days → User can snooze until deadline
  • After upgrade:
    o AV status becomes Success
    o Client version updates to v10.13.0.0
    • Reboot is required
    • If Universal Agent is installed, it integrates post-upgrade


    Linux Upgrade (v10.9.0.0, v10.11.0.0, v10.12.0.0)

    • VDB date must be on or after 21 Feb 2025
    • Admin sends upgrade notification
    • AV status changes to Upgrade in Progress
    • Final version updates to v10.13.0.0
    • Universal Agent integrates if installed

    Linux upgrade will not have the Consent Based
