License Limits

Data Discovery and Scanning

Scanning is controlled by separate licensing limits:

  • Decentralised connectors: The number of decentralised connectors permitted for your tenant. These endpoints are configured as scanners for connector connectivity.
  • Simultaneous data-source scans: The maximum number of data-source scans that can run at the same time.
  • Simultaneous endpoint scans: The number of endpoint scans that can run at the same time.
  • Scan quota: The number of scans permitted within the applicable usage period.

Consent and Preference Management

  • Consent record limits are based on your license. Check your edition’s allowance before planning consent collection.

Cookie Consent

Cookie consent has separate allowances for:

  • The number of websites or domains.
  • The number of cookie-consent records per license year.

Review both allowances when planning cookie-consent deployment across websites.

Report Access

Report access is controlled by your license:

  • Summary access: Provides summary-level reporting.
Your access level depends on your license.

Troubleshooting License Related Restrictions

If an operation is unavailable, use the following checks to determine the possible cause.

Affected Operations Recommended Checks
Starting a scan Check the available scan quota and the maximum number of concurrent endpoint or data-source scans allowed by your license.
Adding a decentralised connector Verify that the licensed connector limit has not been reached.
Using cookie consent on another website Check the licensed website/domain allowance.
Collecting consent or cookie-consent records Check the applicable license-year allowance.
Opening detailed reports Confirm whether the license provides summary report access.
